about
A little more about me.
I'm Cristina, a product designer who has spent most of her career asking questions, connecting dots, and figuring out how things could work better.
My path into product design wasn't linear. I've worked in visual and web design, art direction, led design teams, built scalable digital systems, and worked across industries from real estate technology and SaaS to automotive and luxury.
Different industries have taught me different things, but one thing has stayed consistent:
I don't look for inspiration. I look for understanding.
The kind of teammate I try to be.
I ask a lot of questions, and I listen just as much.
I've been the designer doing the work, the art director setting the direction, the leader supporting a team, and the only designer figuring things out alongside people from completely different disciplines.
That experience taught me that good ideas rarely belong to one person. I like bringing different perspectives together, creating clarity when things get messy, and helping teams move toward something we all understand and believe in.
I care deeply about the quality of the work, but also about the experience of making it.
I’ve worn a lot of hats.
Designer. Art director. Design lead. Researcher. Mentor. System builder. Client partner. Team translator.
Moving between those roles changed the way I see design. Leading designers taught me that leadership isn't having all the answers. Building systems taught me to think beyond the screen in front of me. Working across disciplines taught me how much better the work becomes when people understand the problem together.
Beautiful design is expected. Value is the goal.
Outside the pixels.
I’m a mom to twin teenage girls. I live between Tijuana and San Diego and love traveling, staying active, spending time with my daughters and dogs, and learning about things that have absolutely nothing to do with design.
I'm endlessly curious about people — where they come from, what they care about, and what I can learn from them.
One day I'd love to run a small bed & breakfast somewhere beautiful. Apparently even my retirement plan involves meeting new people and asking them questions.
